SkyDB is a website maintained by experts who are following construction of tall buildings since many years. Some of our editors have decades of knowledge in collecting and organizing information on skyscrapers and buildings. Our practical experiences have shown that one has to have a willingness, experience and persistence when it comes down to managing data on buildings.

As a result, not everyone interested in joining SkyDB is qualified to do so. If you would like to join our volunteer team, you can apply as a registered member. By doing so, you have to answer a number of questions and prove your knowledge. If your application is accepted, you will get access to the expert tools.

By continuously contributing to the community, users can build up their experiences and eventually increase their user level. Experienced members can become an editor, a senior editor or an administrator.

Contributor
A contributor is someone adding information to SkyDB without the necessity to run through the member acceptance checks. Editing information as a contributor is a fast way to edit information, and it does not require you to create a member account.

Illustrator
As an illustrator you have proven your skills in drawing illustrations which are used in  height comparisons. Illustrators also have basic access rights to the database. Apply as illustrator

Editor
An editor for SkyDB is someone with a proven track record and at least 24 months of experiences and interest in building-related topics. Before becoming an editor, users usually showcase their experiences as contributor or illustrator. Apply as editor

Senior Editor
A senior editor is a community member who played a constant and active role in the community over a period of more than 12 months. Senior editors are elected and dis-elected by other senior editors.

Additionally, a senior editor can become an administrator as honor of their work. Administrators have great powers of controlling access and information, and help to maintain the site. Administrators are elected and dis-elected by administrators.
