This is the ranking of the tallest buildings in the world, from the Burj Khalifa down to number 1,000. The ranking applies SKYDB's height definitions across countries and decades. Editors check primary sources where available. Use the filters to narrow the list by city, height, floor count, primary use or completion year.

The Top 1000 Skyscrapers list is based on the latest available information supplied by the editors and thousands of companies who are involved in the construction and management of tall buildings. This listing is maintained on a regular basis and always reflects the current state of knowledge. Head of Rankings is Marshall Gerometta (pictured), founder of the legendary Hot 500 list (1996).

Eligible buildings to be listed must be skyscrapers which are completed or are currently topped out. The height ranking is based on the building mass height which allows to apply a uniform and official way to rank skyscrapers. To report an update, sign in or become a member.
