The topped-out stage of construction covers the phase between completion of a structure's structural framework and the final completion of the structure, when it is ready for usage and no major construction remains. This status indicates that the structure has achieved its maximum anticipated dimensions, and any remaining work consists of filling in the framework and cladding the exterior.
The framework has reached its completed shape and extent. Remaining work fills in and encloses that form before the structure becomes ready for use.
The object remains under construction during this stage. Completion requires the finished framework and shell together with readiness for occupancy of at least part of the interior.
