The SKYDB AWARDS are an architectural recognition for outstanding achievements in the design of tall buildings. Each year the best new skyscraper of a given year is determined by a public community in collaboration with the editorial team.

The best skyscrapers of the year 1999 in terms of design and functionality were selected by the community as following:

1. Eurotheum in Frankfurt (Winner)
2. Osaka Mode Gakuen in Osaka
3. ABN-AMRO in Amsterdam
