Green Tower: 2022 Winner

The SKYDB Awards recognize high-rise buildings that unite architectural quality with practical performance, and Green Tower in La Paz was selected as the 2022 SKYDB Awards Winner.

The 40-story tower brings offices and apartments together in the Calacoto district, with shops and shared facilities at its base. Seventeen office floors and seventeen residential floors are arranged within a reinforced-concrete structure designed for the region's seismic conditions. Solar-control glazing limits heat gain and glare at the high-altitude site while retaining wide views across the valley.

Six basement levels place parking and building services below the occupied floors, allowing the main volume to remain compact. The project earned LEED Gold certification and established a new height benchmark for Bolivia. The award recognizes a mixed-use tower that addresses environmental performance and earthquake resistance without obscuring the distinction between its working and living spaces.
