Terms for SKYDB Definitions
These terms apply to definition text, definition codes, and related explanatory material that SKYDB expressly identifies as covered by these terms (the "Licensed Material"). Other website content, database records, photographs, graphics, software, and third-party material are not covered unless they carry their own notice saying so.
License
The Licensed Material is available under the Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivatives 4.0 International license (CC BY-ND 4.0). The full legal code governs if this summary differs from the license.
Permitted use
You may use, download, copy, and redistribute the Licensed Material, in whole or in part, in any medium and for any purpose, including commercial purposes, without a license fee. You may apply SKYDB Definitions in software, databases, measurements, classifications, research, reports, and other work.
Technical changes that are necessary to use the material in another medium or format are permitted as provided by the license.
Adapted material
You may not share material in which the Licensed Material has been translated, altered, abridged, rearranged, transformed, or otherwise modified in a way that creates Adapted Material under the license. You may create and use Adapted Material privately, but CC BY-ND 4.0 does not permit you to distribute or otherwise share it.
Contact SKYDB before publishing an independently translated definition, a changed definition, or a technical specification derived from the Licensed Material.
Attribution
When you share the Licensed Material, provide attribution in a reasonable place and retain the copyright, license, and disclaimer notices supplied with it. A complete attribution identifies SKYDB Corporation, names SKYDB Definitions and the copied definition or code, gives its version or date and canonical URL, and states that it is licensed under CC BY-ND 4.0.
Your attribution must not suggest that SKYDB sponsors, approves, certifies, or endorses you or your use.
Official versions and implementations
You may state that your work uses or implements SKYDB Definitions when that statement is accurate. Your work remains independent from SKYDB. Only an unmodified version published by SKYDB may be described as an official SKYDB Definition or official SKYDB standard.
Applying a definition to your own data does not make that data part of SKYDB and does not give SKYDB ownership of your work.
Database rights
CC BY-ND 4.0 also covers applicable sui generis database rights held by SKYDB. The license permits the extraction, reuse, reproduction, and sharing of all or a substantial part of the Licensed Material, provided that you do not share Adapted Material. Including all or a substantial part of the Licensed Material in another protected database may create Adapted Material under the license.
Trademarks
The license does not grant trademark rights. The SKYDB name, logos, and other marks may be used only for attribution or a truthful reference to SKYDB unless SKYDB has given separate written permission. They may not be used in a way that suggests sponsorship, certification, or endorsement.
Third-party material
A credit or notice identifying another rights holder means that the identified material is not licensed by SKYDB under these terms. You are responsible for obtaining any permission required for that material.
No warranty
The Licensed Material is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties. To the extent permitted by law, SKYDB is not liable for losses arising from its use. The warranty disclaimer and limitation of liability in CC BY-ND 4.0 apply.
Other permission
For a translation, adaptation, certification arrangement, or another use not permitted by CC BY-ND 4.0, contact SKYDB Corporation at [email protected].
