Space for intermediate storage of general waste materials including trash and mixed waste.
Garbage storage sites are places for holding or collecting general waste materials before they are relocated to a garbage dump or landfill. This includes places for mixed waste as well as household and workplace trash, but not including compost or recycling sites.
The waste is held before removal to a dump or landfill. Mixed household or workplace refuse is included in this intermediate storage.
Material kept for composting or recycling has separate storage definitions. Junk storage concerns discarded objects kept apart from organic or dirty mixed waste.
