A gallery is a space used for the exhibit and sale or promotion of artworks or personal creations which are not mass-produced. It does not include craft shops; exhibition must be a core component of its function.

The work must be exhibited as part of the core function. A craft shop without that exhibition role is expressly excluded.

Promotion is included along with sales, so a purchase need not occur during every visit. Mass-produced merchandise falls outside the stated artistic-work scope.
