LEED Certified
The certified level of the LEED green building certificate, awarded for 40 to 49 points.
LEED Certified is the entry level, and the one most existing buildings reach. The rating covers energy, water, materials, site and indoor quality, and the points earned across those areas decide the level.
The point thresholds belong to the version of the rating system in force when the building was certified. Because the system is revised, the same design does not necessarily reach the same level under a later version.
A building can hold more than one LEED certificate at different levels, for its construction and for its operation, so a single level does not describe the whole building.
