An official territorial unit assigned to a public office for coordinating work within a municipality.
An administration is an official territorial unit assigned to a public office for coordinating work within part of a municipality.
Its boundary follows the area for which that office plans or provides services. It can group several named districts whose residents identify with the smaller places.
An administration does not imply a separate municipal government. A municipality has general local authority, while an administration carries the limited responsibilities assigned to its office.
