brown

A neutral medium shade of brown; an even mixture of all subtractive primary colors.

Brown is a somewhat dark color formed by mixing red, blue, and yellow (or cyan, magenta, and yellow) somewhat evenly. As a facade color it is often associated with wood, brick, or painted surfaces. It also appears as a color for sandstone, cor-ten steel, and aggregate panels.

Hex triplet: 7B3F00

This medium brown is distinct from pale beige and dark chocolate. The material examples do not require the facade to be wood or brick. The hex triplet is a comparison sample for a range of similar facade colors, rather than an exact-match requirement.
