An electronics factory is an industrial facility for the manufacture of electronic products or their components, including microfabrication of electronic circuitry and semiconductors as well as assembly of finished consumer products, including computers, telephones, televisions, games, and many other types of electronic goods.
Component manufacture and finished-product assembly are both included. A facility producing semiconductor devices need not also assemble complete consumer goods.
An industrial plant assembling electronic products is included even when its circuitry or components arrive from another manufacturer. A machine assembly plant can incorporate electronics without being devoted to electronics manufacture.
