caryatid

A human statue or three-dimensional likeness occupying the position of a column, pillar, or pilaster.

A caryatid is a statue or three-dimensional likeness of a human placed in the position of an architectural or decorative column, pillar, or pilaster.

The figure occupies a column-like architectural position. The role may be decorative or structural, so a separately proven load-bearing function is not required.

A human statue attached elsewhere to a roof or facade is not a caryatid merely because of its subject. The column, pillar, or pilaster position distinguishes this feature from exterior statuary.
