A riot police dormitory is a temporary space for police officers, militia, or security guards situated in or near an area of mobilization. These facilities generally provide basic shelter with beds and/or rest areas where security forces are employed to control large crowds of emotionally charged people.

The accommodation is temporary and connected to mobilized crowd-control personnel. Its location is in or near the area where those forces are deployed.

Beds or rest areas supply shelter during that assignment. Ordinary permanent housing for an officer does not acquire this usage from the resident's occupation alone.
