roof renovation begins
The first work in a roof-focused project to replace, overlay, stabilize, reconstruct, or otherwise improve the roof.
Renovation of a structure's roof begins when the first steps are taken to replace, overlay, stabilize, reconstruct, or otherwise improve the physical condition of a roof. The renovation project should be focused on the roof itself rather than the whole structure; otherwise the event would be classified as the beginning of total renovation.
The process of roof renovation includes demolition work on any roofing material or framework being replaced.
Preparatory removal of old roofing is included in the start of the roof project. Total renovation begins describes a broader whole-structure project; roof renovation remains focused on the roof.
