equipment storage
Space for keeping tools, machines, or similar equipment while unused, either ready for use or in overflow storage.
An equipment storage facility is a space devoted to storage of machines, tools, and similar equipment when not in use. This usage can apply either to overflow storage for equipment that is rarely used, or to spaces where equipment is kept ready for use.
Equipment kept ready for the next task is included even when it is used frequently. The storage period need not be long.
Overflow storage for rarely used machines and tools is also included. The common condition is that equipment is kept in the space while it is not being used.
