polyurethane rigid panels
Hard insulating panels made from polyurethane, a common plastic with exceptionally high insulation properties.
Polyurethane rigid panels are firm sheets of thermal insulation made of polyurethane, a synthetic polymer with organic units joined by urethane links. It is an exceptionally effective insulating material, and is generally moisture resistant but must be protected from excessive exposure to water.
The polyurethane is supplied as firm insulating sheets. A layer sprayed or poured into place is a different installation form even when the polymer is related.
Polyurethane panels are distinct from urea-formaldehyde and polyisocyanurate panels by their material composition. Their usual moisture resistance does not imply that prolonged water exposure is harmless.
