Saudi NCAR code
An identifier for a Saudi region or governorate in the National Center for Archives and Records coding guide.
The coding guide of the National Center for Archives and Records numbers the country's regions and governorates for record keeping.
Region codes have four digits with leading zeros, such as 0001. In a four-digit governorate code, the first two digits identify the region and the last two distinguish the governorate within it; 0102 is a governorate in region 01.
These regional and governorate identifiers belong to the NCAR coding guide. They are distinct from the national-address identifiers for cities and urban districts. The wider NCAR guide also lists administrative centers, which are not the same units as urban address districts.
