A company contracted to keep a structure's escalators operational through maintenance and repair.
An escalator maintenance company is contracted to keep the escalators in a structure operational. It is not necessarily the company which supplied the same escalators.
The role concerns upkeep of installed escalators. Initial supply of the equipment is a separate activity.
The maintenance company can be the original supplier or another firm. The service contract, rather than the equipment's brand, establishes its maintenance role.
