pesäpallo
A field arranged for Finnish pesäpallo, with its bases and space for batting and fielding.
Pesäpallo is a Finnish game adapted from baseball. The rules and playing field are similar to baseball, but incorporate rules from other sports indigenous to Finland.
The teams take turns batting and fielding, with runners seeking to pass through the bases and return home. The pitcher delivers the ball beside the batter at the home area, rather than from the distant mound used in baseball.
The facility is arranged for the Finnish game's field layout and rules. Its relationship to baseball does not make a conventional baseball diamond an interchangeable playing field, and different age groups use different field dimensions.
