camping
A site designated for overnight stays in tents, simple shelters, sleeping bags, or recreational vehicles.
A camping site is a site designated for sleeping overnight in tents, sleeping bags, crude shelters, or similar forms of protection from weather and insects. Normally the tents or other forms of shelter are brought in by the persons using them. A camping site can also be a place set up for recreational vehicle camping.
The overnight stay is arranged around temporary protection or a camping vehicle. Bringing a tent is usual but not essential when another permitted form of camping shelter is used.
A picnic area is designated for outdoor eating and need not permit overnight stays. The availability of tables or grills does not by itself make that area a campsite.
