A sex shop is a store which specializes in sex-oriented devices and toys. It may have a section for pornographic books, magazines, and/or videos, but if it mainly stocks such items then it should be listed as a media store.
The principal merchandise consists of sexual devices and toys. Adult books or recordings can accompany that assortment without becoming its main focus.
The distinction from a media store depends on the predominant merchandise. A shop mainly selling adult publications or videos remains a media retailer under the rule above, regardless of the sexual subject matter.
