Completion of work on a project intended to improve a structure's energy efficiency.

The ending of an environmental upgrade occurs when work is finished on any project designed to increase the energy efficiency of a structure, whether that entails installation of alternative power supplies, improved insulation or windows, conversion to more efficient heating and cooling systems, or other such steps.

The endpoint is completion of the energy-efficiency project, whether its work concerns insulation, power supply, or more efficient systems. It does not depend on one particular technical measure.
