top office floor height

The vertical elevation of the highest office floor above a building's base.

The height of a building's uppermost office floor is the vertical distance from the building's base to the top of the floor slab of the highest floor designated for any kind of office usage.

The measurement runs from the base of the structure to the floor surface of that story, not to the ceiling above it. Taken at the ceiling the figure is one story too high, which is the usual reason two sources disagree by three or four meters.

The floor has to be in use for the named purpose. A mechanical level or an empty shell above it does not raise the figure, and a mixed-use tower has a separate value for each use rather than one shared between them.
