electronic information display
Electronic signage for displaying relevant information to persons in the area.
An electronic information display is a sign, ticker, screen, or other remote-controlled electronic medium where texts or other informative content is displayed publicly. This does not include advertising, clocks, or temperature readings.
The electronic format may be as simple as a few light bulbs programmed to convey a message, or it can take the form of a video screen or a sophisticated electronic sign with high resolution.
The display publicly communicates information through electronically controlled content. The technology can be simple or elaborate; the exclusions for advertising, clocks, and temperature readings apply regardless of screen resolution.
