sexual medicine
Clinical space devoted to treatment, care, and prevention of sexual dysfunctions and diseases.
A sexual medicine clinic or sexual medical office is a space where patients see medical professionals for care, treatment, diagnosis, or prevention of bodily issues related to sexuality. Sexual medicine includes topics related to various dysfunctions, disorders, and loss of performance as well as sexually transmitted diseases.
The practice addresses bodily aspects of sexual health, including function and sexually transmitted disease. Prevention and diagnosis are included alongside treatment.
The medical scope differs from relationship counseling alone. The clinical service is defined by the physical sexual-health issues it addresses.
