no cell phone use allowed

A prohibition on the use of cell phones indicates that any mobile telephones or mobile telephone components of other devices must be either left behind or turned off when entering a particular structure or area.

The device or its mobile telephone component must be absent or switched off on entry. Merely silencing an otherwise operating telephone does not meet that stated condition.

No photography and no camcorder use restrict recording activities. This telephone policy is broader than disabling a device's camera alone.
