A facility generating electricity from the reaction of hydrogen with oxygen, with water formed as a product.

A water/hydrogen power plant is a facility where electricity is generated by combining hydrogen with oxygen to form water.

Hydrogen and oxygen react to form water while electrical energy is produced. A hydrogen fuel-cell installation is one way of carrying out this conversion.

Water is the reaction product rather than a supply of freely available energy. This differs from hydroelectric generation, which converts the mechanical energy of moving water.
