educational library
A library made available specifically to students, faculty, and researchers at an institution of learning.
An educational library is a collection of written materials made available specifically to students, faculty, and researchers at an institution of learning - usually a school or university.
The collection is provided for the learning institution's students and academic users. Its educational purpose is more specific than the mere presence of books within a school building.
Access by additional visitors does not by itself make the library a public library. A public library is government-operated for public benefit; an educational library is specifically provided for the learning institution's academic users.
