A sports team (when connected with a structure) is a competitive athletic franchise which holds contracts to use a particular structure as a regular (home) venue.

The connection depends on a regular home-venue arrangement. A visiting opponent using the structure for one contest does not acquire the same relationship.

The contract concerns use of the venue and does not require ownership of it. Stadium ownership and operation can remain with organizations separate from the home team.
