A large enclosed building for industrial use whose form is more complex than a low-rise building.
An industrial plant is a large enclosure built for industrial purposes, whose form is more complicated than a low-rise building (especially when it has prominent chimneys or undivided interior spaces). These are commonly used for factories and power plants.
This type should not be used for silos, blast furnaces, or other specific types of industrial structures.
Industrial use alone does not establish this structural form. The large enclosure must also have the more complex arrangement described here, while a distinct silo or blast furnace retains its specific structural meaning.
