An iron roof frame is an underlying support framework for a roof built out of iron beams, poles, sheets, or other elements constructed from iron.

The iron elements support the roof covering. The definition does not require a particular element shape or framing pattern.

Steel roof frames retain their separate material designation. An outer metal covering alone does not establish either frame material.
