The location may include mock-ups of home interiors as well as various information about available units. This is generally similar to a home sales center, and both usages may sometimes be combined in one facility.

The transaction provides occupancy through rental or leasing. A home sales center instead sells homes to buyers.

Model interiors and displays of available units are optional. Leasing and sales services can share premises without making a display apartment a requirement of either use.
