A venue for sports involving animals as participants or auxiliary participants.
An animal sports venue is a place where sports involving animals in any way are performed. These include racing sports, recreational riding of animals, and fighting involving animals.
An animal takes part in the activity, either as a competitor or in support of a human participant. Animals kept near a sports venue without taking part are separate from its sporting activity.
Competitive racing and recreational riding are both animal sports; direct competition is not required for recreational riding. Housing animals in a stable has a separate purpose from the place where the sporting activity occurs.
