Defined elements of a structure's design which have to do with general layout or appearance.
Quantities of architectural features are data fields which count defined elements belonging to the layout or appearance of a building or other structure.
The figure counts a defined design element. A tower, balcony, or terrace has its own boundary, so its count is meaningful only with that particular element specified.
A structural component belongs to the force-resisting framework. An architectural feature count concerns layout or appearance and need not describe a load-bearing member.
