casino operator

The individual, company, or chain responsible for managing a casino or gambling house.

A casino operator is the manager of a gambling house. It can be an independent operator or the owner or manager of a chain of casinos. In many cases the casino operator also acts as a hotel operator.

The role concerns management of the gambling operation. An entity can qualify as an independent casino manager or as part of a larger casino chain.

A casino within a hotel can share its operator with the lodging business. Operating the hotel alone does not establish responsibility for the casino when a separate entity runs it.
