laundry area
A common room or rooms with washing and drying machines accessible to tenants of at least one usage zone.
A laundry area is a room or set of rooms in the common area of a building, where any tenant can make use of washing and drying machines. This property also applies to buildings where several common laundry rooms are scattered throughout, as long as all tenants (within at least one of the structure's usage zones) have access to the facilities.
The machines are available through common facilities rather than only inside individual tenant units. Several distributed laundry rooms can provide the amenity when tenants throughout the relevant usage zone have access.
Dry cleaning accepts and returns fabrics through a professional service. The laundry area instead makes washing and drying machines available for tenants to use themselves.
