salad cafe

A salad cafe is a dining establishment specializing in light healthy meals consisting mainly of fresh produce, often in the form of salads. It may or may not feature table service; in many salad cafes customers pick up their orders from a counter.

Fresh produce makes up the principal meal offering. Salads are common but are not the only permitted form.

Customers can receive table service or collect orders at a counter. The optional service format is part of this specific cafe definition.
