multi-winged

A building plan with at least two wings branching from a spine, excluding wings that all radiate from one point.

A multi-winged building plan can be any of various arrangements in which 2 or more wings branch out from a spine. This may take the shapes, for example, of a squared U, a comb, the letters H, E, F, or T, or any somewhat similar plan. However if the wings all radiate from a single point, the perimeter plan should be called radial-lobed.

The spine connects the branching wings and can give the plan an H, E, F, or similar outline. The spaces between wings form recesses in the overall plan.

Radial-lobed describes wings directed toward one common center. Here the branching arrangement is along a spine, and it is not restricted to one exact letter shape.
