facade re-used on other site

Related terms: facadism

The facade of a demolished structure is moved to a new site and incorporated into another structure.

The facade of a structure is re-used on another site when the facade or a major part of it is preserved after demolition but removed from its original site, and incorporated into another structure as an integral part. The facade can either be added to an existing structure elsewhere, or built into another structure in the process of construction.

The moment this event occurs depends on the status of the other structure which receives the facade. If incorporated in a new structure during the construction phase, this event is registered upon completion of that structure. If added to an existing structure, this event registers when work on the attachment is complete.

This event can occur more than once for a structure if its facade is divided and used in multiple other structures.
