tower crane collapses

A tower crane which is used in the construction or renovation of a structure collapses when some form of damage (often wind) compromises its structural integrity, and a large part of the crane falls down or is left dangling from the structure.

The crane can remain partly attached, with a large damaged section hanging from the structure. Complete separation or a fall all the way to the ground is not required.

The crane must be serving construction or renovation of the structure. Planned tower crane dismantling does not constitute a collapse.
