fund
A collective investment scheme which spreads ownership among several investors.
A fund is a collective investment scheme in which any number of investors share ownership. Its role as a company is usually highly abstracted, with executive activity located in the individual entities owned by the fund.
The scheme brings investors into shared ownership. Its collective investment arrangement is distinct from a single person directly holding a property.
The fund's ownership role can be separate from executive work carried out by the entities it owns. An operational office of one such entity is therefore different from the investment scheme itself.
