shipping station

A retail space similar to a post office, where packages and other items can be sent via commercial service.

A shipping station is a commercial retail outlet similar to a post office, offering logistical services especially shipping and receiving of packages.

Customers use the outlet to send or receive packages through commercial logistical services. The retail service point need not contain a large distribution warehouse.

A post office is defined here by government-controlled mail service. A shipping station covers the commercial retail outlet described above.
