A site where people go for bodily refreshment and a physical sense of well being.
Spas include a variety of places which cater to a sense of relaxation or physical health, often through various water and steam treatments. People may go there to relieve stress, to relax, to recuperate from an illness, or simply for enjoyment.
The facilities support relaxation, recuperation, or a sense of physical well-being. Water and steam treatments are common but do not have to be the only services.
A spa can contain different bathing or treatment spaces. A swimming facility used for sport has a different primary activity.
