lacrosse
A playing field equipped with netted goals for lacrosse, in which players handle a ball using netted sticks.
Lacrosse is a goal-oriented field sport. Players on opposing teams pass a small rubber ball to each other and into a goal using long sticks equipped with nets at one end.
The net at the end of each stick carries and passes the ball as players try to score in the opposing goal. The playing field must be suitable for that game, with its goals and space for the opposing teams.
A hockey stick has a blade used to strike or direct the playing object, while the lacrosse stick has a netted head. That equipment distinguishes lacrosse from the hockey games even when both use a field and goals.
