Classroom space for non-degree programs taught to adults for the sake of learning.
Adult education schools are places designated for classes taught to adults, generally not for the purpose of earning a degree but rather to further their knowledge on some subject. This does not include graduate schools, professional schools, training schools, or university space.
The classes further the adult learner's knowledge, generally without a degree objective. Adult students can also attend programs with other purposes, including degree study or occupational training.
Graduate and professional schools, university space, and training schools have distinct educational purposes and remain outside this definition of adult education.
