A home automation software company is a firm which programs software for the automation of processes within the home.
The program controls or automates domestic processes. General software used on a computer in a home does not qualify solely because of that location.
The role concerns production of the software. An installer integrating the program with household equipment can have a separate role in implementing the automation system.
