small animal exhibit
A zoo habitat for housing and displaying small animals, such as rodents, otters, bats, or any assortments of small animals.
A small animal exhibit is a zoo enclosure, habitat, or housing facility for any variety or types of small animals which do not place it in any more clearly-defined category. Many small animal exhibits focus on small mammals such as rodents, bats, and otters, while others include varieties of small animals from many different classes such as reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates.
The exhibit can mix animals from different classes as well as focus on small mammals. It is not limited to rodents.
The category is used where no more clearly defined exhibit type fits. An insect exhibit or reptile exhibit provides a more specific description when applicable.
