ecologic research

An ecologic research facility is a station or activity center for scientific research into the ecologic systems, especially relationships between living organisms within particular communities, and their interactions with their environment. Ecologic research may be aimed at better understanding of the dynamics of biological communities, or it may focus on monitoring the health of, or changes in, such communities.
Relationships among organisms and between organisms and their environment are the research subject. The unit of study can be a particular biological community.
Work can investigate how the community operates or monitor its health and changes. Both explanatory research and continued scientific observation are included.
