A multi-use sports facility is a flexible space used for a rotating variety of sports activities. It can be used for recreational sports, training, performance, competitive contests, or any combination of those.

However, this usage is not normally assigned to a facility which is used for a clearly limited range of well defined sports. In such a case, each sport is assigned separately. Examples include arenas which are used by professional teams in different sports, and playing fields which have only two or three regular uses.

This usage is also not assigned to places which are divided into separate areas clearly assigned to individual sports. In these cases also, the separate sports should be assigned as usages. Multi-use, in this case, implies versatility of the same space.
